What's new in Webrec

New features, improvements, and fixes as we ship them.

v1.5.0

Heatmaps rebuilt, smarter page grouping, and dashboard controls

Heatmaps now render real page snapshots built from your session replays, pages with dynamic URLs are grouped sensibly across the whole dashboard, and new project settings control playback defaults and how users are counted.

  • NewHeatmap page snapshots are generated from your session replays, so pages behind a login render exactly as your users saw them
  • NewHeatmaps show click density, scroll reach, and top clicked elements per page, with separate mobile, tablet, and desktop views
  • NewPages with ids or slugs in the URL (such as /orders/123) are recognised and grouped as one page across heatmaps, analytics, and journeys
  • NewProject settings for default playback speed and skip inactivity in the session player
  • NewChoose whether anonymous visitors count towards user stats, or track identified users only
  • ImprovedAnalytics charts bucket by your own timezone, and heavy heatmap queries are pre-aggregated in the background so large projects stay fast
  • ImprovedDashboard pages show proper loading states instead of flashing empty while data is on its way
  • FixedBackground processing (session finalisation, summaries, and cleanup) runs reliably on schedule again
v1.4.0

Domain allowlisting and documentation

Lock down SDK ingestion to approved domains, read the new searchable docs, and get tighter plan-based enforcement.

  • NewDomain allowlisting: restrict SDK ingestion to specific domains with wildcard support
  • NewDocumentation: searchable docs with 40+ sections covering SDK, dashboard, and best practices
  • ImprovedRetention limits are now enforced per plan, so project settings respect your billing tier
  • ImprovedProject settings validation: all data collection settings validated server-side
  • FixedCleanup job using correct org join for retention enforcement
v1.3.0

Live sessions and real-time presence

See which sessions are happening right now with live presence indicators, and enjoy smoother recording reliability.

  • NewLive session indicators: see active sessions in real-time with presence tracking
  • NewSession identification triggers SSE updates
  • ImprovedSessions sort with live sessions at top
  • Fixedrrweb .matches() crash on text nodes
  • FixedBeacon CORS failures on page unload
v1.2.0
