On the Free plan, session recording pauses until the next billing period. On paid plans, overage kicks in automatically at the rates shown above, up to your configured spend limit.
Yes. For each metered item (sessions and errors), you can set a spending limit. Once your overage reaches that limit, recording pauses for the remainder of the period. You can also set it to "Plan included only" for zero overage.

A session is a single user visit from page load to close. If a user navigates within your SPA, that counts as one session. Sessions shorter than 3 seconds are not counted.
